Lanternists

I have been a member of the Magic Lantern Society since 1987 and as a local historian I am fascinated by the quality and wide variety of subjects depicted upon the magic lantern slides produced before and after the introduction of photography.

My slide collection includes stories and moral tales for children and for adults, including those advocating Temperance. Other sets cover Religion, History and Topography. I also have Humorous mechanical (moving) slides.

The best part of any show is the interaction between the audience and the lanternist.
