Quarterly Meetings

The Society holds four Quarterly Meetings per year. In a typical year two meetings are held in London (winter, also spring or autumn), one in Birmingham (autumn or spring) and a different venue each year for the summer meeting. The summer meeting is usually a very informal event with a picnic and strawberries and cream.

Each meeting is made up of lectures, shows and a market, and provides a great opportunity to meet like-minded people while learning about the lantern or taking the chance to see other people’s lantern performances. Often there is a talk by someone about their latest researches and investigations.
