The Magic Lantern Society is a not-for-profit organisation, run on a voluntary basis by Society members for the benefit of members.

To make a purchase:
Browse our online shop, select any items that you wish to buy and add them to the PayPal shopping cart. After selecting an item you can return to the online shop to choose further items, or proceed to PayPal checkout. You can remove items from the shopping cart at any time prior to checkout.

Payment methods:
We accept credit and debit card payments though PayPal. It is not necessary to be registered with Paypal to use this facility – follow the instructions on the PayPal checkout page.

Shipping costs:
The online shop system will calculate the shipping and handling charges for your chosen destination and add them automatically to your PayPal shopping cart. The shipping costs are based on Royal Mail postage rates, with an element to cover packaging materials.

Enquiries:
If the online shop system does not cover the items, quantities, or destination you are interested in, please contact us to discuss alternatives. We welcome trade enquiries.

Dispatch:
We will normally send your order to you within two business days of receiving your payment. International orders should normally arrive with you in about 14 days from receipt of payment or less. We will notify you immediately if we are aware of any reason for delay.

Tax:
All prices include appropriate UK taxes. We are not a VAT registered business.

Credit card security:
The PayPal system is believed to be secure, and we know of no documented cases of fraud using our shopping system over the Internet.

Guarantee:
We guarantee your satisfaction. All of our items can be returned for a full refund if found not to be as described.

Privacy Policy:
The Magic Lantern Society does not disclose any buyers’ information to third parties.

Returns Policy:
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive. You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within seven working days of receipt for a full refund, including any shipping costs you paid us. Do this by contacting us by email quoting the order number supplied to you.
Any goods returned should be in saleable condition. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed. Your refund will be paid via PayPal when we receive the returned items.

Changes of conditions:
We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

Your consumer rights:
None of these terms affect your legal consumer rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any of our terms and conditions are held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to the minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.

Remittance terms:
Payment is required before any orders are shipped.

It is the Magic Lantern Society’s policy to link to sites which are relevant to the activities of the Society. We do not, however, sponsor, endorse or otherwise approve of any information or statements appearing in those sites, nor in sites referred to in or linked to those sites.
